Sleeping Man is a rocky jetty outside the port of Maundbury. On the tip of the jetty a group of rocks form what looks like a reclining figure.
Indian legends from the area say that the rocky figure is a giant sleeping. Some people claim to have seen the rocks move.
A drawing from 1811 is the first record of the rocky outcropping. If that drawing and a recent photo are compared it does look as if the rocks have shifted position.
